Shin-Etsu Silicones of America offers a range of modified silicone emulsifiers for skincare and haircare formulas. Branched emulsifiers include KF-6104 (Polyglyceryl-3 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone) and KF-6105 (Lauryl Polyglyceryl-3 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone). Both are transparent liquids.

Cross-linked polymers are available in gel pastes and include KSG-710 (Dimethicone (&) Dimethicone Polyglycerine-3 Crosspolymer), X-22-6695B (Jojoba Oil (&) Lauryl Dimethicone/Polyglycerin-3 Crosspolymer) and KSG-840 (Squalane (&) Lauryl Dimethicone/Polyglycerin-3 Crosspolymer).

The benefits of these polyglerin modified emulsifiers include:

• PEG-free;

• Delivers enhanced hydrating as well as nourishing skin feel;

• Larger particle size emulsion compared with polyether type;
